Birdie Golf – House Rules, Terms & Waiver
Last updated: October 6, 2026
By booking a bay, purchasing a membership, entering Birdie Golf, or participating in activities at Birdie Golf, you agree to the following House Rules, Terms & Waiver. These terms are intended to help keep everyone safe and protect the facility, equipment, and overall experience.
1. A Quick Word on Risk
Golf simulators are a blast — but they involve swinging golf clubs, fast-moving golf balls, practice swings, physical activity, and sensitive and expensive equipment. Participants are responsible for using the facility carefully and following all safety instructions.
2. Assumption of Risk, Waiver & Release
By entering or using Birdie Golf, each participant confirms that they understand the nature of the activities and voluntarily choose to participate.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, each participant agrees to:
Assume responsibility for the inherent risks associated with golfing, swinging golf clubs, hitting golf balls, and using golf simulator equipment;
Follow all posted safety instructions, house rules, warnings, and reasonable directions provided by Birdie Golf;
Exercise reasonable care for their own safety and the safety of others;
Release and hold harmless Birdie Golf, its owners, operators, employees, contractors, agents, and representatives from claims arising from the inherent risks of participating in the activities or from the participant's failure to follow the applicable rules and safety instructions.
This waiver and release applies to claims for personal injury, illness, death, property damage, or loss arising from the inherent risks of the activities or from the participant's own acts or omissions, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Nothing in this waiver is intended to release, waive, or limit liability for negligence, gross negligence, intentional misconduct, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.
Each adult participant must individually review and accept this Terms & Waiver before participating in activities at Birdie Golf. Acceptance by one participant does not constitute acceptance on behalf of another adult participant.
If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the facility or participate in the activities.
3. Who Can Book & Who's Responsible
The person making the TrackMan booking must be 18 years of age or older.
The booking holder is responsible for ensuring that all members of their group are informed of and have an opportunity to review Birdie Golf's House Rules, safety instructions, and Terms & Waiver before participating.
Each adult participant must complete and accept the Birdie Golf waiver individually before participating.
The booking holder cannot complete or accept the waiver on behalf of another adult participant.
Each participant is responsible for providing accurate information when completing their individual waiver.
The booking holder must not knowingly allow anyone to participate who has not completed the required waiver or who does not agree to comply with Birdie Golf's rules and safety requirements.
Golfers under 18 are welcome but must be accompanied and supervised by an adult.
For participants under 18, the parent or legal guardian must review and accept these Terms & Waiver on the participant's behalf and is responsible for supervising the participant.
Members must complete any required membership agreement prior to use.
Completing a TrackMan booking does not by itself constitute completion of the individual participant waiver unless the participant has separately reviewed and accepted the waiver as part of the booking process.
4. Bay Etiquette
We're trusting you — help us keep Birdie Golf safe, clean, and enjoyable.
One person swinging at a time — always.
Check your surroundings before every swing.
Practice swings stay in the designated hitting area.
Shots go toward the screen — not the ceiling, walls, or other people.
Be aware of your backswing and follow-through.
Keep other people outside the swing/hitting area while someone is swinging.
Please reset the bay when you're done: balls, tees, and equipment back where they belong.
When possible, remove muddy or wet outdoor footwear before entering the hitting area.
If something feels unsafe, stop play and reset before continuing.
5. Fire & Emergency Safety
Your safety comes first. Birdie Golf has an emergency and fire safety plan in place. Please familiarize yourself with the posted Fire Safety Plan, and emergency exits when you arrive.
In Case of Fire
If you discover a fire:
Leave the fire area immediately and close doors behind you.
Activate the nearest fire alarm manual pull station, if it is safe to do so.
Call 9-1-1 and report the emergency.
Leave the building using the nearest safe exit.
Once outside, move to a safe location and do not re-enter the building until authorized by emergency personnel.
If you hear the fire alarm:
Stop your activity immediately.
Leave the building using the nearest safe exit.
If Smoke Blocks Your Exit
Do not attempt to pass through heavy smoke.
Use an alternate exit route if one is available and safe.
If you cannot safely leave the area, remain in a safe location, close the door, call 9-1-1, and clearly communicate your location to emergency responders.
Follow the instructions of emergency personnel.
24/7 Self-Service Facility
Birdie Golf operates as a 24/7 self-service facility, and there may be times when you are the only person in the facility.
If you are the only person in the facility when an emergency occurs, do not wait for another person to arrive before taking action. Call 9-1-1, activate the fire alarm if appropriate and safe to do so, evacuate using the nearest safe exit, and follow the posted Fire Safety Plan and instructions from emergency personnel.
General Emergency Rules
Keep all emergency exits, exit routes, fire extinguishers, fire alarm devices, and other life-safety equipment clear and accessible at all times.
Do not tamper with, disable, cover, or obstruct fire alarms, emergency lighting, exit signs, fire extinguishers, or other safety equipment.
Do not prop open fire doors or block exit doors.
If you notice a fire safety hazard or malfunctioning emergency equipment, notify Birdie Golf immediately.
In any emergency, remain calm and follow the instructions of emergency personnel.
Birdie Golf's posted Fire Safety Plan and emergency procedures take precedence where they provide specific instructions for an emergency.
6. Equipment & Damage
Guests and members are financially responsible for damage caused by misuse, negligence, intentional acts, or failure to follow posted rules and reasonable equipment-use instructions.
Impact screens
Turf and mats
Monitors and projectors
TrackMan launch monitors and sensors
Cameras and computers
Golf balls and other simulator equipment
We're fair — but we're not replacing a screen because someone tried a Happy Gilmore indoors. If something breaks, is damaged, or doesn't look right, let us know immediately.
7. Food, Drinks & Cleanliness
You're welcome to bring your own food and beverages. We just ask that:
Food and drinks stay off the hitting mats and away from screens and electronic equipment.
Please enjoy food and drinks in designated seating or bar areas.
No open drinks in the hitting area — tech + liquids never ends well.
Clean up after yourself and leave the space ready for the next golfer.
We're trusting you here. Help us keep the place looking sharp.
8. Cancellations & No-Shows
We understand that things come up. If you can't make your booking, please let us know as soon as you reasonably can.
Early notice gives another golfer a chance to grab the time and keeps things fair for everyone. Repeated no-shows without communication may result in booking restrictions, but we always approach situations with common sense and fairness.
Cancel early. Help a fellow golfer. Good golf karma is real.
9. Photos, Videos & Building the Community
Take photos. Take videos. Celebrate great shots (and laugh at the bad ones). We encourage golfers to share their Birdie Golf experience on social media and help grow the community.
Birdie Golf may also capture photos or video for promotional purposes. If you do not wish to be included in promotional photography or video, please let us know.
10. Conduct & Respect
Birdie Golf is a community space, not a rage room. Unsafe behaviour, intentional damage, harassment, or disrespect toward others or the facility may result in immediate removal and restriction of future access without refund.
Birdie Golf does not sell or serve alcohol. All guests are expected to behave responsibly and respectfully at all times.
11. Cameras & Security
The facility is monitored by video surveillance for safety, security, and protection of the space and equipment.
Tampering with cameras, access-control systems, or other security equipment may result in financial responsibility and loss of access.
12. Lost & Found
Birdie Golf is not responsible for lost, stolen, or unattended personal property. If you find an item or believe you have left something behind, please contact Birdie Golf as soon as possible.
13. The Legal Line at the Bottom
These terms are governed by the laws of Newfoundland and Labrador and applicable laws of Canada.
Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude or limit any liability, right, or remedy that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.
14. Acceptance of Terms & Waiver
By booking a bay, purchasing a membership, entering Birdie Golf, or participating in activities at Birdie Golf, each participant acknowledges that they have had an opportunity to read, understand, and accept these Terms & Waiver and agree to comply with them.
Each adult participant must individually complete and accept the Birdie Golf waiver before participating.
The waiver may be completed electronically through Birdie Golf's designated online waiver form. Electronic acceptance, including checking an acceptance box, providing the required information, and/or providing an electronic signature, constitutes acceptance of these terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
The booking holder is responsible for informing all members of their group that they must complete the waiver before participating. However, the booking holder's acceptance does not constitute acceptance by or on behalf of any other adult participant.
For participants under 18, the parent or legal guardian must complete and accept the waiver on the participant's behalf and is responsible for supervising the participant.
Birdie Golf may require a participant to complete the waiver before permitting them to participate in activities at the facility.
Final Note
Birdie Golf is built by golfers, for golfers. If something comes up — talk to us. If you make a mistake — own it. If you're unsure — ask.
We'll always try to meet you halfway.
